Submitted to Apple on September 17th it has only taken some five days through review and approval until TAXIRUF hit the App Store! TAXIRUF is a genuinely simple and straight forward application: It solves the problem of being in a foreign city maybe not even knowing where exactly you are and being in need of a cab. Right after starting TAXIRUF it offers to locate you (either through cell phone towers on a first generation iPhone or leveraging the GPS capabilities of the iPhone 3G) and immediately offers you to call the local cab company. While this might seem like just another what's-near-me...

Tonight at 1:42 am German time we've received the email from Apple: So it took some four days from submittal to approval for our application. It is still not available in the App Store but this is standard procedure. It seems as if Apple batch uploads to the Store once every 24 hours so once your app got approved it'll be available after the next upload session. App Store, iPhone, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone SDK

A few days ago we've sent the first release of one of our iPhone applications to Apple for review: (Due to the terms & conditions of Apple's NDA we are not allowed to disclose any details regarding the app prior to its availability through the App Store...) Apple agrees to no service levels as to how long their review might take. Other iPhone devs have experienced...

In case you want to share the 3G (or EDGE) data connection of your iPhone with your notebook, you should hurry up and grab Nullriver's NetShare application. Use this link to purchase it from Apple's App Store. You do have to use the direct link as the application does not show up in App Store and is not showing up in search results! NetShare has been posted to the App Store last night but Apple pulled it down right away. Here is the App Store description: Please note that some carriers do not allow you to share the iPhone's data...

Yuppie, today I've received confirmation that my iPhone application passed QC and will be available via Apple App Store once it's going to open its doors on June, 27th. I've not participated in TechCrunch's Top 50 contest, though, but hope to get loads of downloads - equals purchases :-) - without it. Unfortunately, I cannot talk about what my app actually is/does, yet. Just a few words: It's a location based service which works in tandem with a community web site. I'll keep you posted.
